MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – A draft agreement on free trade in services in the CIS might be ready for signing this year, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said as he addressed the CIS Ministerial Council video conference, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Vladimir Makei stressed that Belarus is interested in the further work on the draft agreement. “This is the key document that will open a new window of opportunities in foreign trade for all stakeholders, which will be especially important for the speedy recovery of our economies during the post-pandemic period. I believe that the format of talks via videoconferencing that has been often used recently will help us finalize the document this year,” the minister said.
