MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei has talked to Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu over the phone, the ministry’s press service told BelTA.
Vladimir Makei congratulated his Turkish counterpart on the successful completion of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which took place in Antalya, Turkey on 11-13 March.
Vladimir Makei and Mevlut Cavusoglu discussed the situation in the region in a broad context and specifically around Ukraine. They were of the opinion that the conflict in its hot phase must be ended as soon as possible.
Vladimir Makei and Mevlut Cavusoglu touched upon the evacuation of Belarusians and Turks from the conflict zone and from the area of the humanitarian corridors. They also discussed bilateral relations while focusing on topical aspects of Belarus-Turkey trade and economic cooperation.
