The participants will discuss topical issues and priorities of long-term development of the domestic science and technology. Special attention will be paid to the most promising fields, strengthening human resources, and encouraging young people to carry out scientific research.
Invitations have been sent to top officials, heads of government bodies, organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Belarusian enterprises, MPs, representatives of public associations, universities, international organizations, and also diplomats. The plenary session will bring together scientists from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.
The Congress of Scientists of Belarus is running in Minsk from 12 to 13 December to wrap up the Year of Science in Belarus.
The televised version of the event will be broadcast by the Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 TV channels on 13 December.
