MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated the people of Denmark on the national holiday - Constitution Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"For many years, Belarus and Denmark have successfully developed cooperation in high technology, industry, animal husbandry, climate protection, and wind energy. We can rightly be proud of our high social and economic standards, which have become an excellent example for many countries of the world," the message reads.

Today, these achievements of the two countries are under threat because of the unfair sanctions and growing military hysteria, which brings nothing but worsening living standards and uncertainty about the future, the Belarusian leader is convinced.

The head of state was pleased to note that Belarusians and Danes, despite all kinds of far-fetched contradictions, managed to preserve the ties developed over the decades in trade, investment and culture.

"I am confident that only equal dialogue, mutual respect and continuation of bilateral cooperation will be able to return peace and tranquility to our common region," the president stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Denmark peace and prosperity.
