MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to President of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un as the country celebrates the Day of the Foundation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
“The Belarusian and North Korean peoples have always defended their right to sovereign development and independent choice of their future,” the message of greetings reads. “It is worth mentioning that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the cooperation between our countries has been developing in an atmosphere of friendship, trust and mutual respect.”
The head of state expressed confidence that contacts between Minsk and Pyongyang in various sectors would continue to strengthen, making a significant contribution to building a fairer and conflict-free world, bringing the transition of the international system to a multipolar order.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Kim Jong Un good health and success in his responsible state post, and happiness and prosperity to the people of North Korea.
