MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of the Republic of Cyprus on their national holiday - Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Your country is known in Belarus for its rich history, diverse cultural traditions, hospitable people, and picturesque landscapes that draw tourists from all over the world,” the message of congratulations reads.
Despite the distance, the two countries are united by common values, the desire to develop their own state and preserve its sovereignty, the head of state noted.
“Belarusians have always had warm regards for the Cypriots. They have always called for maintaining bilateral interaction in a wide range of areas, including business and humanitarian ties,” the president emphasized. “I am confident that Minsk and Nicosia will soon resume contacts at all levels. Belarus is ready for this,” the president noted.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Cyprus peaceful skies, social harmony and sustainable development.
