MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Kyrgyzstan went through a difficult period of gaining statehood. Today the country responds to modern challenges with dignity, firmly defending its interests in the international arena,” the message of greetings reads.
Belarus attaches great importance to the consistent expansion of contacts with Kyrgyzstan, building up cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union and other structures, the head of state said. “I highly appreciate your personal support of Belarus' aspiration to become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” he stressed. “I am convinced that the relations of friendship and respect that have developed between Minsk and Bishkek will help us successfully withstand unprecedented global upheavals and enrich the partnership with new ideas and promising projects,” the head of state said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Sadyr Japarov good health, happiness and fruitful activity, and also a peaceful and prosperous life to the people of Kyrgyzstan.
