MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Indonesia President Joko Widodo as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“In this period Indonesia managed to become a large center of economic development in Southeast Asia, one of the acknowledged regional leaders,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state remarked that Belarus-Indonesia cooperation is increasingly vibrant, first of all, in trade, military technology, and the humanitarian field. There is also a significant potential for interaction on the international agenda and in the ASEAN.
“I am convinced that by joint efforts Minsk and Jakarta will overcome modern challenges and threats to ensure robust development of our countries,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
