Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Angola

MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Angola President Joao Lourenco as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Belarus, like Angola, highly appreciates the opportunity, gained through the battles against oppressors, to live with one's own mind, to improve one's native land, to work peacefully for the bright future of one's descendants,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state emphasized Minsk's interest in further development of the whole range of bilateral relations with Luanda. “I believe that the time has come to intensify our efforts and start implementing joint projects in agriculture, engineering, mining, education, science and other areas of mutual interest,” the Belarusian leader said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Joao Lawrence good health and every success, as well as happiness and prosperity to the people of Angola.
