Lukashenko reaffirms Belarus' full commitment to continuing fruitful dialogue with UAE

MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended congratulations to President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the people of the United Arab Emirates as the country celebrates the National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Today the UAE is a successful, developed and peaceful state that holds an influential position in the international arena," the congratulatory message reads. “Holding the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Dubai once again confirmed the increasing role of the United Arab Emirates in shaping the agenda on the most important global issues. It is impossible to overestimate the contribution of your country to the accelerated transition of the economy to a new low-carbon, highly developed and sustainable economic model."

The head of state reaffirmed Belarus' full commitment to continuing a fruitful dialogue and active joint work both on the climate agenda and on enriching the palette of bilateral projects and agreements.

Aleksandr Lukashenko also sent a congratulatory message to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai.

"Thanks to the efforts undertaken by the leadership since the founding of the federation, the United Arab Emirates has become one of the most influential countries on the political and economic map of the world, as evidenced, among other things, by the holding of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Dubai," the Belarusian leader said. “I express my firm confidence that the UAE will consistently continue along the path of progress and prosperity, and that the bilateral Belarusian-Emirati cooperation will be growing stronger for the benefit of our peoples."
