MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has left for Russia on a working visit. The aircraft with the Belarusian leader on board has departed from the Minsk National Airport, BelTA informs.
Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled to take part in an informal meeting between the CIS heads of state in Moscow on 26 December.
BelTA reported earlier that the participants will sum up Russia’s CIS presidency in 2017 and exchange opinions on further cooperation in different fields.
The meeting is expected to draw together the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
