CAIRO, 15 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko met with Egypt’s Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedki Sobhi on 15 January to discuss cooperation in the military-industrial sector, BelTA has learned.
“I have already told your President that we have no closed issues for cooperation. We are ready to provide any assistance and support we can, if you need it,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
The head of state hopes that the Egyptian Defense Minister would be able to visit Belarus and assess the country’s military-industrial sector. “We will show you our potential. If you find our technologies acceptable, we will work together. I think we will find many areas for cooperation,” the President added.
In turn, the Minister of Defense and Military Production of Egypt praised Belarus’ vast military potential and the country’s military equipment. “We hope to develop cooperation with you,” he added.
