Lukashenko: Closer ties with SCO, BRICS, ASEAN is our response to sanctions

MOSCOW, 25 May (BelTA) – More intensive cooperation with the SCO, BRICS and ASEAN is our response to the sanctions, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting on 25 May, BelTA has learned.

“Our response to the sanctions is stepping up cooperation with the SCO, BRICS and ASEAN, new trade agreements as well as constructive and mutually beneficial contacts with everyone who is ready to be our friends and partners,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

At the same time, Aleksandr Lukashenko urged to maintain a balance of interests of all stakeholders: “This task is not easy, but I am sure that the commission has the necessary skills and competencies to do that.”
