“Refinancing would be desirable. Anyway, we have made provisions in this year’s budget to repay our debts,” Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
In 2015 Belarus will face some $4 billion in debt payments. “If we do not manage to do refinancing, we will pay this $4 billion. We have money for this in the budget. Thus there is absolutely no need in selling our bonds for a song. We are not in a pre-default state and can pay off our liabilities,” the head of state noted.
“In the history of the sovereign Belarus there has never been a case when we have failed to clear our debts, and there will never be one. We will give the last money we have to repay them,” Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
