ST PETERSBURG, 16 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are supposed to sign the agreement on the mutual recognition of visas by year end, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko on 16 July.
The ambassador believes that this document will be signed by the end of 2019 because both Belarus and Russia have finished the relevant intrastate approval procedures.
“The sides are now waiting for an opportune moment [to sign the document] from the political point of view and from another one. You and we need it. I am nearly 100% confident – it is my point of view – that the agreement will be signed,” Vladimir Semashko noted.
