MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) - Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives, the head of the working group on cooperation with the Parliament of the Czech Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Guminsky met with President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milan Stech during a visit to the Czech Republic, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.
“Mr Milan Stech spoke in favor of the intensification of the dialogue between Belarus and the Czech Republic in the context of the new political realities,” the press service noted.
The parties also discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. Viktor Guminsky noted the constructive position of the Czech Republic on the normalization of the relations between Belarus and the European Union. The parties agreed that there was a need to seek new and mutually beneficial forms of cooperation. It should be based on trade and economic relations.
Trade, economic and investment cooperation were discussed at a meeting of the Belarusian delegation with Executive Director of the Czech Chamber CIS Frantishek Masopust. “The parties discussed the participation of Belarusian and Czech economic entities in exhibitions and investment forums in Belarus and the Czech Republic,” the press service said. The Czech Chamber was handed over a package promising investment proposals.
