MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Anwar Gargash have agreed to hold a bilateral meeting as soon as possible. The matter was discussed over the phone on 1 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Vladimir Makei and Anwar Gargash have agreed to further maintain working contacts and hold a working meeting as soon as possible,” the ministry said.
The parties shared opinions on the development of the global situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic, discussed the measures the two states had taken to stem the spread of the coronavirus infection. They agreed on the need for the entire world community to coordinate efforts to effectively confront the challenge.
The ministers of foreign affairs also discussed bilateral cooperation, trade and economic issues.
