First meeting of Belarusian-Iranian commission on military cooperation held in Minsk

MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – Minsk played host to the first meeting of the Belarusian-Iranian commission on military cooperation, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.

Minsk is hosting an Iranian military delegation led by Major General Mohammad Ahadi, head of the International Relations and Defense Diplomacy Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Today, on 9 November, the joint Belarusian-Iranian interdepartmental commission on military cooperation convened for its first meeting.

The parties discussed the status and prospects for the development of military cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran and agreed on a plan of joint activities for the next year.
