EU Commissioner on Health and Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis
MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) - EU Commissioner on Health and Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis is set to visit Minsk on 27 August, BelTA learned from the EU Delegation in Belarus.
The EU representative plans to meet with Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy, Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko and Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision Ivan Smilgin.
The EU commissioner said that he is looking forward to fruitful discussions with Belarusian counterparts, including on animal diseases, the bilateral access to markets, antimicrobial resistance, vaccination and non-communicable diseases.
The EU commissioner will also get familiar with the progress made in the implementation of the energy project in Novogrudok and visit the Lithuanian Center of Education, Culture and Information in Rymdyuny.
