MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sven Mikser and Estonia’s Prime Minister Juri Ratas are expected to visit Belarus in 2018. Organizational issues were discussed at the Belarusian-Estonian ministerial consultations in Tallinn on 3 May, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Estonia.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Activities Roman Sobolev. The Estonian delegation was headed by Director General of the External Economic and Development Cooperation Department Juri Seilenthal.
During the consultations, the parties discussed trade, economic and investment cooperation between Belarus and Estonia, the interaction within the framework of the Eastern Partnership and other initiatives. Emphasis was placed on the mutually beneficial use of transit potential of Belarus and Estonia, the Belarusian-Estonian cooperation in the Chinese initiatives, including the Silk Road Economic Belt and CEEC-China (16+1).
The parties also examined the issues of interaction between the EU and the EAEU.
