MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo has arrived in Belarus on an official visit. The aircraft with Equatorial Guinea’s leader on board has just landed in Minsk National Airport, BelTA has learned.
The Belarus president’s press service told BelTA that the itinerary of the visit will be full of events, including official negotiations, the signing of bilateral documents, visits to enterprises, and familiarization with the potential of Belarusian manufacturers.
Negotiations with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will be the central part of the visit. An official meeting of the heads of state as well as private negotiations and negotiations with expanded delegations will take place in the Palace of Independence. As a result of the talks the sides are expected to sign a package of bilateral documents aimed at advancing relations across a broad spectrum of avenues ranging from economy to humanitarian affairs.
During the official visit Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo is also expected to get familiar with capabilities of Belarus’ manufacturing sector and agribusiness.
The visit continues Belarus’ policy aimed at invigorating cooperation with countries of the African continent and confirms mutual interest, demand for Belarusian products, experience, and technologies.
