MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – The customs services of Belarus and Japan are interested in developing cooperation, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.
The cooperation was discussed during a meeting between Chairman of Belarus’ State Customs Committee Yuri Seko and Japan's Ambassador to Belarus Hiroki Tokunaga. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Japanese customs service and the Japanese Embassy in Belarus. The meeting discussed the matters relating to inter-agency cooperation between the customs services of the two countries, the forthcoming elections to the post of Secretary General of the World Customs Organization.
The parties expressed an interest in promoting closer cooperation between the customs services of Belarus and Japan, developing the bilateral legal framework in customs matters.
