MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Cui Qiming and senior officials of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry discussed the mitigation of Chernobyl consequences in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Emergencies Ministry.
“The meeting is the continuation of a good tradition of active dialogue between the two countries which is aimed at the development of friendly relations. For many years after the Chernobyl tragedy China has been and still is one of the most reliable friends of Belarus in the mitigation of Chernobyl consequences,” the press release of the press service reads.
The sides also discussed the details of the international conference Thirty years after Chernobyl. From an Emergency to a Revival and Sustainable Socio-Economic Development of Affected Territories which is scheduled to take place on 25 April.
