MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.399 on conferring the Belarus president’s special prize Belarusian Sports Olympus for the year 2023, BelTA has learned.

In recognition of a significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports and active efforts to popularize them, in recognition of development of physical culture traditions and sport traditions, which contribute to the formation of a harmonious person, the president awarded the prize to Mikhail Dvoryakov, Vanessa Kolodinskaya, and Anna Eismont.

Head of the Cycling, Skating, and Equestrian Sport Department of Belarusian State University of Physical Culture Mikhail Dvoryakov has been working there since 1974 and has been the head of the department since 1992. An Honored Coach of the BSSR, he has raised three international masters of sport and 15 masters of sport. Since 1998 Mikhail Dvoryakov has been part of the management of the Belarusian Cycling Federation. Since then athletes of the national team have repeatedly become winners of Olympic Games, winners and awardees of world championships and European championships.

The top-qualification sports coach of the sports team of the Internal Affairs Ministry, athlete-coach of Belarus’ national freestyle wrestling team Vanessa Kolodinskaya is an honored master of sports, a bronze medalist of the 2020 Olympic Games, a winner and awardee of world championships and European championships. The United World Wrestling named her the world’s best female athlete of the year 2017 in women’s wrestling. She won a silver medal at the 2023 world championships and a license to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games.

The special reporter of the Sport News Department of the Main Office of the Television News Agency of the Belarusian national state television and radio company Belteleradiocompany Anna Eismont has been working for the company since 2003. She hosts popular sport programs, produces stories and interviews for a number of political programs and news programs. She has also authored many movies, special reports, projects focusing on sport competitions and athletes. As a reporter she covered Olympic Games, European games, Grand Slam tournaments, and many other competitions.
