MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Belarusian and Russian laws will be subjected to comparative analysis in 2018, BelTA learned from State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Grigory Rapota on 27 February.
Asked whether the Union State Foundation Treaty is going to be adjusted, the official noted that the matter required analysis. “We intend to carry out comparative analysis of the legal base of Belarus and Russia in 2018. The work has already begun. We expect it will take about half a year,” said Grigory Rapota.
Once the analysis is done, the matter of updating the Union State Foundation Treaty will be considered. “Most likely, we will not have to change anything. Instead we will have to build on and secure success in the areas sketched out by the treaty. If any adjustments are necessary, we will discuss it,” noted the state secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
