MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi as the country celebrates Nowruz, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Last year was marked by an important event in the modern Iranian history - the presidential election. Iranians voted for the stability and development of the country at a very crucial moment of global transformation," the message of greetings reads.
The head of state expressed his conviction that the relations between Belarus and Iran, built on the principles of mutual understanding and partnership, will be marked by the successful implementation of numerous joint projects.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished excellent health and longevity to Ebrahim Raisi, and peace and prosperity to the Iranian people.
