Belarusian PM headed to Kyrgyzstan on working visit

MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is headed to Kyrgyzstan on a working visit, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.

Bishkek will host several landmark events. Among them is a meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council. As it has been reported, Belarus signed a memorandum of commitment to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at the SCO summit in July of this year. SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming recently stated that Belarus may become a full member of the SCO in 2024.

Bishkek will also host the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting. According to the EEC press service, the heads of government of the EAEU member states are set to discuss the performance of the union and the main tasks and key areas for the further development of the integration for the periods up to 2030 and 2045. The prime ministers are also expected to review the progress in the formation of the EAEU common markets for gas, oil and petroleum products in 2022 and the industrial cooperation in the union.

Another event will be the CIS Heads of Government Council event.

The heads of delegations participating in the meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council are scheduled to meet with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov.

Roman Golovchenko is set to hold a working meeting with Uzbekistan Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov in Bishkek.

The working visit will last on 25-27 October.
