MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei is expected to go to Georgia on a working visit on 20 December, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
During the visit Vladimir Makei is expected to meet with Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Chairman of the Georgian parliament Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Janelidze, and Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.
The sides are expected to discuss the entire range of Belarusian-Georgian relations, including matters concerning political, trade, and economic cooperation, ways to increase Belarusian export, interaction within the framework of international organizations, and cooperation in humanitarian affairs.
During the visit a solemn ceremony will take place to open Belarus’ embassy in Georgia. Representatives of the Georgia President Administration, the central government, the parliament, top officials of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tbilisi city administration, and representatives of the diplomatic corps have been invited to attend the event.
