Belarusian experience used in Western Ukraine’s transplantation program

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - Belarusian experience is used in the development of a transplantation program in Western Ukraine, Minsk Scientific and Research Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology said on its Facebook page, BelTA has learned.

In early May the center hosted a meeting with its colleagues from Lvov. Last week a delegation from Belarus paid a return visit to the Lvov Emergency Clinical Hospital. The specialists discussed cooperation and exchange of experience in high-tech medicine. “The parties reached an agreement on further mutual cooperation in using Belarusian experience for a transplantation program in Western Ukraine,” the Minsk scientific and research center said.

“During the visit the delegation got familiar with the center. Belarusian specialists read lectures on topical issues of transplantology and organ donation. We hope to continue and strengthen cooperation with Lvov colleagues,” the Minsk scientific and practical center said.
