Belarusian, British military to advance cooperation in peacemaking

MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Major-General Aleksandr Volfovich and Chief of the Defense Staff of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, General Nick Carter have discussed the current state and prospects of advancing bilateral military cooperation, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The phone call was arranged upon the initiative of the British side. The conversation focused on further advancement of cooperation in the sphere of peacemaking activities. The Defense Ministry will inform the public about concrete decisions and events once they are planned and authorized.

During the conversation Aleksandr Volfovich also thanked the British side for the aid provided to the 432nd central hospital of Belarus’ Armed Forces. The chief of the General Staff expressed support and solidarity in the fight against COVID-19.
