MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – About 40 Belarusian army personnel have left the country to participate in the Poisk 2017 reconnaissance exercise of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry website.
The exercise is divided into two stages and will take place Russia in on 3-5 October and in Armenia on 3-7 October. The ability of reconnaissance command units to manage their subordinates will be checked. The ability of reconnaissance units to operate and carry out training missions in various conditions will be tested. The ability of intelligence and reconnaissance units to operate in the Caucasus collective security region will be evaluated.
