MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) - Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva held a meeting on the sidelines of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly in Bishkek on 16 November, BelTA has learned.

"We really became good friends. We have built good and friendly relations at the parliamentary level and the state level. There are good relations between our presidents who genuinely care of their peoples, their countries. This is worth a lot," Natalya Kochanova said.

Our countries must be friends and move forward, the speaker emphasized. "We will stick to the agreements that we have reached. They cover almost all spheres of life. We have a huge potential. Our countries and peoples know how to be friends, know what honor and decency are, and remember their history well," she said.

Natalya Kochanova gave Tanzila Narbayeva an advance copy of the brochure prepared following the first Belarusian-Uzbek women's business forum.

"This is memory, this is history, the concrete work of parliaments," Tanzila Narbayeva said.
