Belarus, Uzbekistan hold ministerial consultations in Minsk

MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Minsk hosted another round of Belarus-Uzbekistan ministerial consultations on 14 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegations were headed by Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Nazaruk and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bobur Usmanov of Uzbekistan. The diplomats considered a wide range of issues of Belarus-Uzbekistan cooperation, outlined key areas for its intensification.

"Particular attention was paid to the interaction in the integration associations (CIS, SCO, EAEU) and in international organizations (UN, OSCE). The parties expressed satisfaction with the status of the Belarus-Uzbekistan dialogue, reaffirmed their commitment to facilitating it, discussed practical aspects of preparing joint events, including those dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations," the ministry said.

Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bobur Usmanov of Uzbekistan. The parties discussed key issues of Belarus-Uzbekistan cooperation in the political and economic areas and interaction within international organizations and integration associations.

“The parties noted the high level of the Belarus-Uzbekistan dialogue and stressed the importance of participation in the events scheduled in Belarus and Uzbekistan this year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
