MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich went to Turkmenistan on a working visit on 22-24 April, the press service of the upper chamber of the Belarus parliament told BelTA.
During the visit Mikhail Myasnikovich met with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The sides discussed the state and promising avenues of interaction in the bilateral format. Mikhail Myasnikovich also met with deputy chairpersons of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and other officials.
In particular, Mikhail Myasnikovich and with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Ereshov visited the construction site of the Garlyk mining and processing factory for the sake of reviewing construction progress.
Apart from that, the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus was made familiar with the construction of the Belarusian embassy in Turkmenistan and a MAZ service center.
