MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) – Belarus will take part in watching the NATO military exercise Trident Juncture 2018, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
In line with the 2011 Vienna Document on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures a representative of the Belarusian army will take part in watching the NATO-led multinational military exercise Trident Juncture 2018.
According to the source, in line with the 2011 Vienna Document on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures OSCE member states are supposed to notify each other about scheduled military exercises in advance and invite observers from all the other OSCE member states if 13,000 personnel or more participate in the exercise.
About 50,000 military personnel from 31 countries will take part in the military exercise Trident Juncture 2018 in Norway on 25 October – 7 November.
