MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) – On 11 January Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko will take part in a march in memory of victims of terrorist attacks, BelTA learned from Dmitry Mironchik, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The official said: “Belarus resolutely and consistently condemns all kinds of terrorism. Our country will be represented by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko during the march that will take place in Paris on 11 January to honor the memory of victims of terrorist attacks”.
The news agency TASS reported that 17 people have been killed in France over the last 72 hours due to terrorist attacks staged by Islamic extremists. The number includes ten employees of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, four hostages in a kosher food store in Paris, and three police officers. Dozens of people have been wounded.
The march in Paris will take place as a token of protest against the actions of Islamic extremists. Heads of state and heads of government of a number of European countries, heads of international organizations have declared their intention to take part in the march.
