Belarus takes in over 38,000 Ukrainian citizens since 1 January 2023

MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – Over 38,000 Ukrainian nationals have arrived in Belarus since 1 January 2023, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

According to the State Border Committee, 27,835 came to Belarus via Poland, 8,441 via Lithuania and 1,994 via Latvia.

A total of 112,974 Ukrainian nationals have arrived in Belarus since 24 February 2022. According to the committee, 15,890 people arrived in Belarus directly from the territory of Ukraine. 77,340 citizens of Ukraine came to Belarus via Poland, 18,591 via Lithuania and 4,153 via Latvia.
