MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will coordinate their efforts to promote economic interests in relations with partners from several African countries, BelTA learned from Dmitry Mironchik, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 15 October.
The Belarusian and Russian foreign ministries will hold consultations in Moscow on 21 October to discuss affairs concerning African countries to the south of the Sahara Desert. Head of the Africa and Middle East Office of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Igor Leshchenya and Head of the Africa Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Valery Utkin will take part in the consultations.
Igor Leshchenya is expected to meet with a number of heads of the diplomatic missions of African countries, which enjoy concurrent accreditation to Belarus. In particular, Igor Leshchenya will meet with the ambassadors of Namibia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana, Angola, and several other countries.
