Belarus ready to develop partnership with China in context of Eurasian integration

MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping as the country celebrates the Spring Festival, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Belarusian head of state noted that China made serious achievements in the domestic and foreign policy last year.

“The Chinese initiative to build an economic belt along the Great Silk Way can be one of the most significant projects. The Republic of Belarus is interested in this information and is ready to develop partnership relations in the context of integration in the entire Eurasian space,” the message of greetings reads.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed hope that with the support of Xi Jinping the project to create the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park will become an indispensable part of the economic belt along the Great Silk Way. According to the Belarusian leader, the corresponding proposals can be worked out and included in bilateral agreements within the framework of the visit of the Chinese president to Belarus.

“I am convinced that we will open a new page in the development of bilateral relations,” the Belarusian president stressed.
