The Belarusian delegation was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Rybakov and Head of the Main Consular Department of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Igor Fisenko. The Korean side was led by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs at the Korean Foreign Ministry Lee Kyung-soo. The partners discussed the bilateral contacts and international agenda. They pointed to the progress in the bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, investments, science, technology, and IT, and analyzed cooperation prospects in the context of integration processes in the Eurasian space.
Belarus’ delegation urged to liberalize visa formalities between the two countries with a view to intensifying business contacts, tourism, educational and cultural exchange programs.
Cooperation opportunities were also discussed at the meeting of the Belarusian delegation with 2nd Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea Cho Tae-yul, Ambassador for Overseas Koreans and Consular Affairs Lee Jeong-gwan and Korea Immigration Service Commissioner Han Moo-Geun.
The press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry informed that on 3 February the Belarusian delegation is set to discuss cooperation prospects in trade and economy with 2nd Vice Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea Moon Jae-do, 2nd Vice Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning Yoon Jong-Lok and Chairman of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) Tae-yong Shinn.
