MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) - At a sitting of the tenth session the House of Representatives of the seventh convocation passed the draft law "On ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on visa waivers for diplomatic or service (official) passport holders", BelTA has learned.

In accordance with the agreement, citizens of the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan who have valid diplomatic and service (official) passports are exempt from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit or stay in the territory of the two countries for a period that does not exceed 90 days in a calendar year from the date of first entry.

Each party reserves the right to refuse entry or shorten the period of stay of a citizen of the other party, if this citizen is unacceptable or recognized as "persona non grata".

Each party may suspend the agreement, in whole or in part, in the interests of public order or national security. The other party shall be notified of the decision through diplomatic channels at least 30 days before it enters into force.

All disagreements or disputes concerning the application or interpretation of the agreement shall be resolved through consultation or negotiation between the parties through diplomatic channels.
