Belarus President awards scholarships to 94 young scientists

MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) – On 19 December Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed Executive Order No. 210рп “Concerning the scholarships of the President of the Republic of Belarus for talented young scientists in 2017”, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The scholarships have been assigned to 94 young scientists, including 5 doctors of science under 45, 49 candidates of science under 35, and 40 young scientists without a degree under 30. Among them are the specialists in physics and mathematics, technical sciences, chemistry, biology, medicine, pharmaceutics, agricultural and veterinary sciences, law, social sciences and humanities.

Scholarship holders have achieved significant results in the priority areas of fundamental and applied research. Their scientific achievements are used at industrial enterprises and social institutions of Belarus. The novelty of their researches is confirmed by many patents and publications in the leading national and international scientific journals.

The passing of the executive order testifies to the support of talented young scientists and the strengthening of the scientific potential of Belarus.
