MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) – Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov has embarked on a working visit to Budapest, Hungary to take part in the sixth Central Eastern European Countries and China (CEEC-China 16+1) Summit, BelTA has learned.
Andrei Kobyakov is set to take part in the Central Eastern European Countries and China 16+1 heads of government plenary session and also in the opening of the economic, trade and financial forum which is underway during the summit.
On the sidelines of the summit the Belarusian head of government is expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings.
The 16+1 summit was initiated by China in 2012 to intensify and expand cooperation with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, and Estonia). Belarus took part in the previous summit in Riga as an observer.
