MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – The Culture Ministries of Belarus and Macedonia have signed an agreement on cooperation in Belgrade, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Serbia.
The document creates the necessary legal framework for establishing direct contacts between theaters, museums, libraries, galleries, music, choreography and cinematography. The agreement will promote mutual participation in international competitions and festivals, the exchange of performers, music and dance companies.
The document was signed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Serbia and concurrently to Macedonia Vladimir Chushev and by Macedonian Ambassador to Serbia Vera Jovanovska Tipko.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Parliament of Serbia, Belarus honorary consuls in Macedonia and Serbia, diplomats, and members of the Macedonian and Serbian creative intellectuals.
The embassies arranged the exhibitions of Belarusian graphics and Macedonian sculpture, and a presentation of tourist opportunities of Belarus. The choir Rosa, consisting of citizens of Russia and Belarus living in Serbia, performed songs in the Belarusian and Macedonian languages. One of Maxim Bogdanovich’s poems was recited in the Macedonian language, and a brochure on Belarus was presented.
