MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Israel have discussed investment cooperation in the agro-industrial sector and tourism. The matter was considered at a meeting between Belarus’ Ambassador to Israel Vladimir Skvortsov and Minister of Aliyah and Integration, co-chairperson of the joint Belarus-Israel committee on trade and economic cooperation Sofa Landver on 2 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Vladimir Skvortsov updated Sofa Landver on the state of the Belarusian-Israeli investment cooperation and joint projects implemented in Belarus in the agro-industrial sector and tourism, and also on commercial proposals suggested to Israel. The parties touched upon some aspects concerning the cooperation of the two countries in the IT sector and the field of high technologies. The parties also discussed the participation of an Israeli delegation in the commemoration events scheduled in Belarus to mark the 75th anniversary of the destruction of the Minsk ghetto.
The parties talked over the bilateral agenda, including progress in the implementation of the agreements reached at the sixth meeting of the joint committee in Jerusalem in May 2018.
