MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Sauli Niinisto who was reelected as the President of Finland, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“I am convinced that the relations between our states will be expanding, including in trade, economy and investment, in ensuring regional stability and security,” the message of greetings reads.
Alexander Lukashenko wished Sauli Niinisto health and every success in his work for the benefit of the citizens of Finland.
It was reported that incumbent President of Finland Sauli Niinisto won the election with 62.7% of the votes after 100% of the ballots had been checked. He took part in the election as an independent candidate. The president will be inaugurated on 1 February.
