MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Janelidze reaffirmed the friendly nature of the bilateral relations and commitment to their further development during the meeting in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The sides have once again reaffirmed the friendly nature of the bilateral relations, the interest in their further development and expansion of the spectrum of interaction," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
During the meeting the sides summed up the results of the negotiations, discussed the measures to step up bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic fields and considered the concrete steps to implement the joint projects which were discussed during Mikheil Janelidze’s visit to Belarus.
"Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Janelidze thanked the Belarusian side for the warm welcome and the extensive program of the visit of the Georgian delegation in Belarus and welcomed the prospects of bilateral cooperation following the meetings and negotiations in Minsk," the press service said.
