MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik is set to pay an official visit to Turkiye on 7-8 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian minister of foreign affairs is set to hold talks with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan to discuss international and regional security, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
The 11th meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation will take place under the chairmanship of the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkiye Ibrahim Yumakli.
“Plans are in place to discuss the whole range of issues on the bilateral agenda with a focus on trade, economic and investment interaction. The primary attention is on cooperation in industry, agriculture, Belarus’ participation in the work to restore the Turkish areas affected by the devastating earthquakes in February 2023. The parties are also expected to consider the prospects of scientific and technical cooperation between Belarus and Turkiye, as well as ways to further strengthen contacts between representatives of business communities and organizations to promote exports of the two countries,” the ministry said.
