MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – Chairman of Belarus’ State Customs Committee Yuri Senko and Director General of the Finnish Customs Antti Hartikainen discussed the key aspects of customs administration during a meeting in Finland on 26 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Customs Committee.
The two officials talked about the practical aspects of the work of mobile groups, their interaction with other watchdogs, the procedure for passport control, and other matters.
Yuri Senko and Antti Hartikainen inked a plan of bilateral cooperation in training specialists between Belarus’ State Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Customs Authorities and Finland’s Customs School for 2018-2022.
During the visit, the Belarusian delegation is set to visit Finland’s northern border to learn more about customs administration at border checkpoints on the internal and external border of the European Union.
