MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko met with members of the Finnish Parliament, members of the Group of Friendship with Belarus in Minsk on 30 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, cooperation within international organizations. The parties welcomed a pragmatic and mutually respectful nature of Belarusian-Finnish dialogue which helps build constructive relations across all avenues of cooperation for the future.
Particular attention was paid to the Belarus-Finland interaction in the European region which is aimed towards strengthening international security and stability and building dialogue between the regional and subregional associations and unions including the EU and EAEU. Oleg Kravchenko noted the particular role of MPs in strengthening and promoting dialogue, not only on a bilateral track but also within the European parliamentary organizations.
